Early sowing field walk

We welcome you to a field walk tomorrow to examine crop establishment at our early sowing sorghum trial.

The trial is located on 'Prospect', Coopers Road, Warra, just off the highway from the Grainco silos (see map below).

The walk will take place from 8 - 9 AM. Tea and coffee will be provided.

The event is an opportunity to see the early vigour and establishment of nine commercial sorghum hybrids planted into soils at a temperature of 10 degrees C.

The research aim is to investigate the advantages and risks of sowing early to avoid heat and drought stress later in the season.
